CLARIFYING YOUR PURPOSE

Before this task I  didn't know how to start writing speeches. There are some questions to help in this.

  1. Why should I want to talk about this?
  2. Why should anybody want to listen to me?
  3. What single message would I want to put across?
  4. What need in the audience do I want to have satisfied when I have finished speaking?
  5. When they all walk away what state would I like them to live in?
Now I should try this on my own.
Speech 1.
You are a primary school teacher. You should give a speech to your third graders on the following topic: “Why children should listen to their parents.”
  1. Firstly, because our parents are the first teachers for us. Secondly, as a future teacher I'm interested  in it.
  2. This speech can be relevant for children, because of missunderstanding with parents. And relationships are an important part.
  3. Paren't are the closest people in your life.
  4. I want to put the message, that parents will help them in hard moments, and they will love you independently of the situation.
  5. I'like them to live in good mood and to be inspired to listen to their parents.

Speech 2.
You are working as a team leader in a summer language camp with high school students from the whole region. On the second day you are noticing that some guys and girls hesitate to meet new people or make friends within the team. You decide to take action and give a talk to your team stating “You will learn most from friends that are different from you.
  1. Because this is a common problem for nowdays, and I saw it for several years.
  2. Because this is a communication, as you know, people can't live without communications at all. And NOBODY should feel lonely in the camp.
  3. I want to let them know, that talking with people, who you don't know, is a very interesting deal.
  4. I want them to understand, that the nust now avoid the talking and interaction with them,
  5. I want to induce them to communicate with everybody.
Speech 3.
You are taking part at 2018 World Champion of Public Speaking “Toastmasters” and you are going to give a speech “Embarrassing moments make you stronger.”
  1. Because embarrassing moments really make us stronger.
  2. I know that this moments lake place in the live of every person, so i think that anybody will listen whis speech.
  3. The embarrassing moments make us more open to communication and emancipated.
  4. I want them to understand that, this moments are good moments for our improvement.
  5. They must not to be afraid of looking embarrassed because it's normal.
